Time to Sew

Suzee has agreed to help us get some of those sewing skills going, so the 3rd Thursday of each month will will meet at the church and work on a 'one night' sewing project. This month it will be February 19th. Come with your supplies and leave a few hours later with a finished item!! This month's project is a self-binding receiving blanket. It is fun and easy. To make one, bring the following items:

1 yard of flannel for the front

1 1/4 yard of flannel for the back

pins

ric rac (totally optional)

sewing machine, if available

There will be no charge for patterns or anything. You can make them for as little or as much as you want. JoAnns.com has coupons, if you sign up, for 40% off one item, so that makes it even more affordable. (Or you can sign-up at the store, but the ones in the mail take a few weeks to start coming to your home.) Or find some fabric in that closet that never got used up :) Questions?
